Newcastle United fans watched their team lose to Arsenal on Sunday.
The Toon Army travelled to the capital for their final away day of the season, knowing that a win would effectively guarantee Champions League football.
Unfortunately, the Magpies’ European fate will not be decided until the last day of the season.
Newcastle lost 1-0 to Arsenal, with Declan Rice scoring the winner in the second half.
It was a disappointing second half from Eddie Howe’s side, after having the better chances in the opening 45 minutes. Unfortunately for Newcastle, they came up against an inspired David Raya.

Newcastle United fans poke fun at Mikel Arteta again
At the other end of the pitch, a missed Martin Odegaard chance sparked a hilarious chant from the Newcastle United fans inside the Emirates Stadium.
The Arsenal captain blazed an effort over the bar in the 15th minute, with the ball bobbling up just as he was about to hit it.
As Odegaard pondered his missed shot, the Toon Army could be heard chanting: “Mikel Arteta, it must be the ball.”

What Mikel Arteta said about the ball after Newcastle beat Arsenal in January
This was in reference to the Magpies’ last visit to the Emirates.
Newcastle beat Arsenal 2-0 in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg. After the game, Arteta spoke to the media about the Carabao Cup ball made by Puma being different to the one used in the Premier League that is a Nike product.
“I think we kicked a lot of the balls over the bar and it’s tricky that this ball flies a lot,” Arteta told Sky Sports.
He added: “I think we kicked a lot of the balls over the bar and it’s tricky that this ball flies a lot. We discussed that as well, so there are details that we can do better.”
This resulted in Newcastle fans poking fun at Arteta in the second leg, as the Geordies booked their trip to Wembley. During that semi-final second leg, Newcastle fans sang ‘Mikel Arteta, it must be the ball’.
The chant got another run out on Sunday, but it was Arsenal who had the last laugh.
They won 1-0 thanks to a glorious strike from Rice. Nick Pope could do nothing, as the ball flew past him after Anthony Gordon cheaply gave away possession.
It was the first goal that Arsenal had scored past Newcastle this season, with the Magpies previously keeping three consecutive clean sheets against the Gunners.
