A fleeting spotlight was placed on what Bucs fans can’t wait to see.

That comes in the form of rookie playcaller Josh Grizzard, the Bucs’ 34-year-old offensive coordinator. He was promoted in the offseason to fill the big, successful shoes of Liam “El Serpiente” Coen.

Grizzard has shaved his flowing locks and he put his boss face on during Buccaneers rookie minicamp recently. The in-house team cameras captured a glimpse and turned it into a YouTube short.

“You’ll play a long time in this league if you don’t make the same mistake twice,” Grizzard lectured to the rookies.

He sounded convincing.

“You made a mistake today? It is what it is. Just don’t make the same mistake tomorrow,” Grizzard continued. “We are adding a new install, so that we can go attack the defense. We’re not just going to run the same sh*t for three days in a row. Alright. Stay in your books. Overcommunicate, especially for the skill [position players] and quarterbacks. If you can help out the guy beside you, it’s really going to help the whole operation.”

Joe’s not sure what “Grizz” will deliver. But Joe does keep hearing that Grizzard is an extremely dedicated and confident workaholic type who fully grasps the incredible opportunity on his plate.
