Eagles Stars Perfect for Olympics Flag Football

The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the most talented teams assembled in the salary cap era of football history.

Their run to Super Bowl LIX was one of the most dominant ever seen. Even with the organization losing plenty of talent in the offseason, the Eagles are safe bets to remain a title contender in 2025.

Philadelphia has so many talented individuals on their roster. … And with the implementation of the sport of flag football into the Olympics in 2028, many of the current Eagles may very well be asked to be a part of that run.

Franchise quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts was named the global flag football ambassador and lit the Olympic torch at the site of the 2028 Summer Games, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, in a state-of-the-art commercial.

Could Hurts be one of the Eagles that ends up presenting the United States of America in those games?

The QB will still be young at just 29 when the Games are held in three years. He turns 30 a week after the closing ceremonies. Other Eagles like wide receiver DeVonta Smith, and A.J. Brown are safe bets to be in the running as well.

There is the awkward reality, though, that the Eagles have many of their star contracts ending in 2027. So if the team is looking to have multiple starters in the Olympics, those players may not actually be on the roster at that time.

Whatever the case, Philadelphia has plenty of stars on their roster. And the USA's Olympic Committee should do everything they can to bring some of those Eagles onto the team.
