Director asked about fresh Chelsea approach– Player has publicly confirmed Blues interest

Feyenoord’s Quilindschy Hartman is back on Chelsea’s transfer agenda, according to a report from the Dutch press.

The left-back suffered a serious injury in March 2024 and returned to the pitch earlier this year. Prior to this setback, the Blues had looked at him, most likely for last summer.

In February, the [23-year-old stated](https://sportwitness.co.uk/player-admits-chelsea-wanted-him-but-now-hes-watching-liverpool-with-interest-instead/) Chelsea wanted to sign him before he picked up a knee injury.

[Voetbal Primeur](https://www.voetbalprimeur.nl/nieuws/1299669/te-kloese-gaat-in-op-mogelijke-feyenoord-transfer-hartman.html) now states the west London club are still looking at him for the summer window.

Hartman appeared visibly emotional in the Eredivisie side’s last home game of the season against RKC Waalwijk May 14th.

Feyenoord technical director Dennis te Kloese was a guest on Goedemorgen Eredivisie. He discussed the Netherlands international’s future and Voetbal Primeur have relayed his comments.

The fullback, who graduated from the Dutch club’s academy, has less than 14 months left on his contract. The Feyenoord official believes there should be more clarity on his future in the next few weeks.

_“We will see in the coming weeks. It is a major consideration for him, also with a view to where he can still grow,”_ he said.

_“The national coach is at the table here and there is a World Cup next year. Then that consideration must also be whether now is a good time to take the next step. He will have to talk to his people about that himself. Of course, we are always in talks.”_

When asked about the Chelsea links, the director stated they haven’t approached his side so far.

_“No, because if they have contacted him, they have not yet contacted us. Last year that was of course a story that was discussed. Ultimately that changed with that injury,”_ Te Kloese explained.

He has urged Harman to first make a decision on where he wants to play next season.

_“He is an incredibly valued force with us and as a person I also value him very much. But he has to reach a certain level to take that next step and then possibly play himself into the spotlight with Oranje again. Is now the time? He will have to consider that himself,”_ he added.

Enzo Maresca has Marc Cucurella as the only recognised left-back at his disposal.
