Houston Texans increase fan hospitality with TickPick deal

The National Football League’s (NFL) Houston Texans have partnered with marketplace TikPick.

The Houston Texans named TikPick as its official fan experience partner amid a “shift in how fans choose to engage with live events”.

Announced on May 14, the partnership will introduce new ticket packages and amenities, aiming to improve how fans purchase tickets and enjoy matches at the franchise’s NRG Stadium.

Mike Tomon, President of the Houston Texans, explained the goal of the arrangement is to provide a world-class experience for our fans on gameday.

“Partnering with TickPick helps provide us new and unique opportunities to engage with our fans and elevate their time spent at NRG Stadium on Sundays,” he said.

TikPick will take over four suites at NRG Stadium, two on the north end and two on the south end of the Ring of Honour suite level. Named the TickPick Skyline Suite North and TickPick Skyline Suite South, these spaces will offer hospitality experiences with exclusive amenities and access.

According to the Houston Texans, guests can access the field postgame for photos, throw passes and to kick field goals. During games, appearances by the Houston Texans Cheerleaders and Texans Legends are planned to enhance the experience further.

Furthermore, supporters will also have the chance to purchase ticket packages which include holding the flag during the national anthem and joining exclusive on-field pregame activities.

“TickPick is proud to be working with the Houston Texans and excited to continue elevating the way fans experience live events across sports,” TickPick Co-CEO Brett Goldberg said.

“There’s been a shift in how fans choose to engage with live events and the Texans are at the forefront of reimagining the fan experience. We’re looking forward to building out incredible moments for fans at NRG Stadium.”

Push towards hospitality

Hospitality experiences are flooding sports, with the US leading the way. American franchises have created the blueprint for premium fan experiences. Now, clubs and leagues in the UK are following suit, especially the Premier League.

Top-flight clubs increasingly view hospitality as a key revenue stream, leading to several clubs revamping stadiums or moving to new ones.

An example is the UK’s Fulham FC and its new Riverside Stand, which features seven distinct premium experiences. The most striking of these is the ‘Sky Deck’, spanning the top three floors and offering sweeping views of the River Thames and the London skyline.

In March 2024, Shahid Khan, Chairman of Fulham FC, said: “In short, today isn’t about finally being able to offer a higher standard of hospitality options that have essentially been unavailable to Fulham supporters until now. It’s about offering the ultimate match day hospitality experience in the world that will also benefit the long-term promise and future of Fulham Football Club.”
