Caitlin Clark’s performance in the season-opener between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky on Saturday got the attention of George Kittle, the San Francisco 49ers tight end. Kittle shared an infographic of Clark’s stats from the game on his Instagram, praising her for a “decent start” to the season.

On Saturday, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever took on the Chicago Sky and put up a brilliant 93-58 win. Indiana dominated in every quarter, leaving no room for the Sky to get a hold of the game. Caitlin Clark herself, chalked up 20 points in total, grabbing ten rebounds and assisting ten times.

“Decent start!!!” George Kittle captioned his Instagram post, sharing Caitlin Clark’s stats from her game against the Chicago Sky.

Apart from Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston also proved herself with 19 points in total, grabbing 13 rebounds for the team. Natasha Howard and Kelsey Mitchell each put up 15 points for the Indiana Fever, while newly signed Lexie Hull chalked up nine points with nine boards.

Clark has been playing for the Indiana Fever since the previous WNBA season and quickly established herself as a strong pillar for the team. During the offseason, the Fever has been trying their best to bolster their roster, most particularly to help Clark’s performance on the court. Before the league, Clark played college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes for four seasons.

According to sources, hateful and racist remarks against Angel Reese were passed by certain members of the audience. The WNBA has taken this very seriously and is currently investigating the matter. Not only the WNBA, but the Indiana Fever has also announced that they will be running an investigation of their own and will take measures to ensure a safe environment for their players.

While Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have had their rivalry ongoing since their NCAA days, the latter has been the focal point of numerous racist attacks. This was most particularly evident during the 2023 NCAA championships.
