Barcelona are being linked with a move for Argentina and Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez who appears set to leave the Premier League club.
Martinez was left in tears after Villa’s win over Tottenham on Friday and appeared to be waving goodbye to fans at the end of the match.
The rumor mill was quick to jump into action, with a report from DSports claiming Barcelona and Manchester United are keen on landing the World Cup winner.

It’s previously been reported that Martinez is also wanted in Saudi Arabia but that he’d prefer to stay in Europe and play in the Champions League.
Barcelona do have some issues to sort out regarding goalkeepers. Inaki Pena is expected to leave after falling down the pecking order this season and struggling for minutes.
Meanwhile, Wojciech Szczęsny has also admitted he’s not yet decided whether to continue despite being handed a two-year extension by Barcelona.

As things stand, it seems Marc-Andre ter Stegen will go into next season as first choice but many fans have doubts over his capabilities, particularly after a long spell out injured.
Barcelona do have plenty of goalkeeping talent in the academy, with Diego Kochen and Aron Yaakobishvili, but both are still teenagers and lack top-level experience.
Meanwhile, Hansi Flick’s side have been linked with a move for Espanyol’s Joan Garcia - although such a move looks unlikely for all kinds of reasons - would Martinez be a good option instead?
