Bill Belichick, former New England Patriots coach/general manager, spilled quite a bit of tea about his experience coaching Tom Brady in his recent appearance on ‘The Pivot’ podcast. While Brady might have been one of the hardest working players in the Patriots team, the now-retired quarterback was certainly not immune to Belichick’s firings and got plenty of criticism in team meetings.
Apparently, Brady was not at fault when he was called out by Belichick. The 73-year-old former coach who is currently working with the University of North Carolina’s football program, mentioned on ‘The Pivot’ that he criticized Brady numerous times simply because he didn’t want the other players to feel bad. Brady himself reportedly encouraged Belichick to keep doing this as he wanted to be “a part of that”.
“If I didn’t point him out then everybody walks out there feeling like they got yelled at, except for him. When I could make points to Tom, then Tom could say, ‘Hey fellas, look, he got after me too.’ A lot of times, I would tell Tom ‘Hey, Tom, it could get a little rough there today. Just wanted to let you know’, and he goes ‘Well, make sure you include me, because I need to be part of that.” Bill Belichick said on ‘The Pivot’.

Tom Brady played for the New England Patriots from 2000 to 2019 after being selected as the 199th pick in the sixth round of the NFL draft. Meanwhile, Bill Belichick was the head coach for the team from 2000 to 2023. Together, the two won six Super Bowls. Brady then signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Belichick retired from the NFL altogether.

In the same interview, Bill Belichick was asked about his famous beach yoga pictures with his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. Belichick humorously discussed the photos, talking about his relationship with a very young woman like Hudson also keeps him young. He also revealed how much of an influence and help Hudson has been for him in terms of his business relationships. This is the first time that Belichick has opened up about the beach yoga pictures. The last time he was asked about the same in a CBS interview, Belichick refused to answer.
