Report: Seahawks could finally end up on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ in 2025

The long-running HBO documentary series Hard Knocks has chronicled the training camps of NFL teams for over two decades, but recently it’s expanded its horizons to include offseason and in-season editions. Throughout this time, the Seattle Seahawks have never been featured in any iteration of the show.

Until now?

San Francisco 49ers beat writer Tim Kawakami reported that the 49ers could be featured in an in-season division edition of Hard Knocks, and my inside sources tell me that the Seahawks are indeed still in the NFC West.

One NFL note: I've heard that the 49ers could be involved in an NFC West in-season "Hard Knocks" like they did with the AFC Central last year.

Would be the only way the 49ers would want those cameras and microphones around them.

The Seahawks declined to be on Hard Knocks for the 2013 season, which I vaguely recall ending pretty well for them. There were some recent eligibility changes that opened the door for more teams to meet the criteria for selection, so it’s possible the Seahawks would’ve been a candidate for the training camp version. If the NFC West gets an in-season following like the AFC North did last year then the Seahawks won’t double down and do Hard Knocks for training camp.

We’ll know fairly soon whether or not the NFC West gets to be chronicled throughout the season. Maybe by then they’ll have renamed the HBO Max streaming service back to Max and then again to just HBO.
