Lamine Yamal will not just be handed a new contract when he turns 18 in July, he will also be given the iconic No. 10 shirt at Barcelona.
According to X user memorabilia189, Yamal’s birthday will be celebrated in style by the Catalan giants.
He will officially sign his new long-term contract at the club, which will include a 1 billion euro buy-out clause, and he’ll also take over the 10 shirt.
The famous jersey currently belongs to Ansu Fati but will be handed over, even if his fellow forward does stay on at Camp Nou.

Yamal has previously seemed in no hurry to wear the 10, but the suggestion is that it’s a “game-changing strategic and marketing move” by Barcelona.
The teenager’s shirt is already a best-seller for Barca and will undoubtedly continue to fly off the shelves if he has the iconic 10 on the back.
