Jaxson Dart, New York Giants Quarterback, Dynasty Outlook

Jaxson Dart surprised some as the second quarterback off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft. With the New York Giants he gets to throw to Malik Nabers, but is Jaxson Dart’s dynasty outlook sunshine and rainbows, or another quarterback doomed to the Giants turnstile at the position?

Jaxson Dart Dynasty Price

Dart is currently the QB23 on fantasycalc, a fantasy calculator that takes real leagues to calculate dynasty prices. He’s just ahead of Justin Fields, and just behind Bryce Young. In rookie drafts, he’s often a late first-round pick or an early second-round pick in superflex leagues.

Jaxson Dart Team Fit

There are plenty of arguments over whether sitting a rookie quarterback is a good plan or not. It’s nature versus nurture, development versus talent, but bottom line, the situation in New York is a strange one. Dart will have one of the best weapons in the league, and the Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton combination isn’t the worst way to fill out a wide receiver room. Coach Daboll has the Josh Allen project under his belt, but as time goes on, it seems that maybe Daboll didn’t have as much to do with that as we originally thought. The offensive line in New York was Swiss cheese in 2024, but they addressed the line in the offseason, and it should be an improved unit ahead of 2025.

Dart will start the season riding the pine behind Russell Wilson or Jameis Winston, which will be nice for his dynasty outlook moving forward. He gets a mulligan for 2025 regardless of how much he plays or how well he plays while doing so. A quick look back at first-round quarterbacks in the past few seasons shows an increased price for almost all of them (sorry, Josh Rosen), even if they play limited snaps. Michael Penix only started three games, was outside the top 24 quarterbacks in two of three games, and still, he went from QB25 to QB19 in one offseason. Even Kenny Pickett increased in value from his rookie season to his second year.

Bottom line, Dart will get a mulligan for 2025, and his price will likely increase ahead of 2026.

What to do With Jaxson Dart in Dynasty Fantasy Football

Normally, this is broken down by competing, in the middle, or rebuilding teams. But for Dart, he’s the type of player to draft at a discount now and re-evaluate ahead of 2026. Unless the Giants completely bottom out and draft a new quarterback at the top of next year’s draft class, Dart is going to gain value. So draft him now, watch what he does for the Giants when he plays, and if you believe in him long term, enjoy getting one of the cheaper QB2s you can acquire these days.

If you don’t believe in him, that’s fine. Someone else will, and you will be able to sell him at a higher price than you can today. First-round quarterbacks are investments for NFL teams and your dynasty rosters, but knowing when to sell is the tricky part. Let’s see what he can do and enjoy our almost guaranteed returns first.
