After capturing their second Super Bowl in five seasons, the Philadelphia Eagles extended head coach Nick Sirianni for the foreseeable future on Monday.
Sirianni, 43, spent four seasons in Philadelphia leading up to their 40-22 Super Bowl LIX victory over the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs in February. Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said his decision to re-sign his head coach to a multi-year extension was done to ensure the foundation that helped his team become title contenders. Exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success,” Lurie said. “Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership.”
Sirianni has a 48-20 regular season record in Philadelphia and a 54-23 overall record, giving him the second-most wins in NFL history for a coach in his first four seasons. He is also the first coach in NFL history to earn four playoff appearances, two conference titles and a Super Bowl title within that same span.
In Lurie’s statement, he also praised Sirianni for being the embodiment of everything that they were looking for.
“Nick [Sirianni] has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago,” Lurie said. “His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team.”

Sirianni led the Eagles to an 18-3 record in 2024, winning 10 straight and scoring 145 points in the playoffs. He is also the fourth coach in league history to win 18 games in a season. In Lurie’s closing remarks, he said he’s excited to see what is next for his team with Sirianni mentoring them.
“I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles,” Lurie said.
