Arsenal are reportedly interested in FC Kaiserslautern youngster Max Gordon, though they won’t be able to sign the teenager for a while yet.

Dominik Schneider of FussballTransfers reports that Arsenal and Ajax are interested in Max Gordon of the FC Kaiserslautern u15s.
Schneider claims there have already been meetings with Arsenal academy director Per Mertesacker, though the Gunners wouldn’t be able to make a move yet, due to the player’s age.
Gordon is still only 15, turning 16 next January. Schneider claims Arsenal plan to sign him then, but the deal would likely need to involve loaning the player back, as the Gunners won’t be able to get a work permit for an under-18 player with the current rules.

Regardless of exactly how and when Arsenal plan to make their move for Gordon, it evidently won’t be this summer.
The 15-year-old will remain with his current club a bit longer, as well as hopefully getting some more minutes on international duty for Germany.
Gordon made his u15 Germany debut in March, playing in a friendly match against a Fortuna Dusseldorf academy side.

For the time being, there’s not much more Arsenal can do except to set the groundwork for when Gordon is old enough to join.
