The Denver Broncos have yet to extend Cortland Sutton, a questionable decision as training camp is right around the corner. For the Broncos' WR1, the hope is for him to stay in Denver for the foreseeable future. If not, there could be a scenario where trading him makes sense.
The Broncos are a very good team on paper, and if things go well, they should have a chance to compete for a Super Bowl.
With that in mind, it wouldn't make much sense to move on from Sutton. However, the last thing they want to do is to lose the 29-year-old for nothing at the end of the next season.

Searching for a potential deal to help the Broncos get something done with the wide receiver who posted 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns last season, Bob Morris of YardBarker predicted that he could land a deal around $98 million over four years.
“If we use these three players as the basis for a new contract for Sutton, a four-year, $98M contract would make sense. That averages $24.5M per year. The Broncos could offer $52M in full guarantees, which would surpass Ridley's full guarantees.
“If Sutton were extended prior to the start of the 2025 season, he could get a signing bonus that would give him additional money beyond the $14M he's already due this season,” he wrote.
With the type of contracts handed out to wide receivers in the NFL recently, this might be a steal for Denver. If that's all it'll take, it wouldn't be a bad idea to consider giving him that deal now.
