Chelsea defender Axel Disasi could make his loan stay with Aston Villa permanent this summer.
It looks set to be a busy few months in the West Midlands, with a host of big-name Aston Villa stars linked with moves away from the Birmingham-based outfit.
Emiliano Martínez was blasted after his recent antics, with an exit on the cards for the goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, Ollie Watkins and Morgan Rogers also face uncertain futures. However, while all the talk is around potential exits, Unai Emery will also be keen to strengthen his squad, and it appears as though Disasi is part of the Spaniard’s plans.

Emery wants to keep Disasi at Aston Villa
Disasi has had a mixed time with Villa, showcasing signs of promise at centre-back but struggling while playing at right-back.
Those struggles have not deterred Emery, who has been impressed by Disasi’s mentality and is keen to keep the 27-year-old, with discussions already underway between the player and Villa [Footmercato].

However, talks are yet to be held with Chelsea, and ex-Villa scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – thinks the Blues will try to recoup the “ridiculous” amount of money they spent on Disasi.
“Chelsea spent nearly £40million on Disasi,” King said.
“Therefore, they will want at least £25million for him, they might even ask for more. I’d imagine Chelsea will want their money back and will ask for £40m. However, in the end, they will accept around £25m to sell this player.
“This is another player who Chelsea spent ridiculous money on.”

Disasi could be an astute signing for Aston Villa
If Villa can agree a deal worth £25m for Disasi with Chelsea, that could be a positive bit of business.
It would allow Emery to keep hold of a player who has been an important part of the squad in recent months, without breaking the bank, which is especially important considering Aston Villa’s financial struggles.
