'He Is A Winner. We Need Winners' 'A Very Good Idea' Fans React As Man United Eye Move For World Champion

Aston Villa number one Emi Martinez is being “pursued” by Manchester United, according to reports in Argentina.

The World Cup winner is expected to leave Villa Park at the end of the season, which was hinted at by his tearful farewell after the final home game against Tottenham on Friday night.

DSports claim that both the Red Devils and Barcelona are targeting Martinez, and United supporters on X agree he would be a good addition to the squad:

I think is a very good idea. Because that’s how ‘van da sar’ came to Manchester

Dibu in, Onana out!

This is a silly question. If he is available, it's a no brainer.

Villa won’t let Martinez leave on the cheap

It should be pointed out that the former Arsenal player only signed a new 5-year contract with his current team in August last year.

If the Villans qualify for the Champions League, they won’t be under pressure to sell Martinez either.

There are suggestions that the 32-year-old could also be tempted by a move to Saudi Arabia, and that would make United’s job even harder to persuade the keeper if they had to compete with offers from the Middle East.

Man United are hoping to replace Onana

Even if Martinez is deemed an unrealistic target, the club are believed to be scouring the market as they consider whether to dispense with Andre Onana, whose performances have been rather poor this campaign.

Ruben Amorim’s side have reportedly identified at least 5 potential replacements for their current No.1, in addition to Martinez.
