Five Gunners up for for PL Fan Team of the Season

Five of our players have been included on the shortlist for the Premier League’s Fan Team of the Season for 2024/25, and our Gooners can help get them included in the final line-up!

David Raya, William Saliba, Gabriel, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are on the 60-man list of players to choose from, after all starred in another strong campaign for Mikel Arteta’s side.

With one game to go, David is neck-and-neck with Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels to win the Premier League Golden Glove, an accolade he hopes to retain after last season’s exploits saw him included in the Fan Team of the Year.

Our first-choice centre-back pairing were also in that side, and Gabriel and William are contenders again this term having contributed massively to our 13 clean sheets in the division, as well as chipping in with goals at the other end of the field.

Declan meanwhile was nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Season award thanks to some stunning displays in the heart of our midfield, where he has scored four times from in 24/25, including stunning strikes against Manchester United and Newcastle United in recent months.

He has 11 goal involvements in the league, and only Bukayo has more than that having started the campaign on fire. He has six goals and 10 assists to his name so far, despite missing a large chunk through injury.

Fans from across the world are being invited to select a best XI from the shortlist, using one goalkeeper, two full-backs, two central defenders, two central midfielders, two attacking midfielders and two strikers.

The players who received the most votes from the public in their respective positions, limited to a maximum of four players per club, will form the star-studded line-up.
