No justification for public funding of Browns stadium upgrades

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has now decreed that the current (just 26 years old!) Browns stadium “doesn’t match the standards or the qualities” that he and Dee Haslam demand for their personal comfort and amusement. He does not (and cannot) claim that it is in any way deficient for the playing of top level professional football.

If Dee Haslam and her cronies, or the tiny slice of the citizenry who can afford to attend Browns games in person, want fancier accommodations, then THEY should pay it -- not the taxpayers of Cuyahoga County or the state of Ohio. What possible justification is there to expect the rest of us to bear that cost? None.
