Chelsea could sack Enzo Maresca and replace him with another Italian manager if they fail to finish in the top 5, according to reports.
Yesterday, TMW said that both the Blues and Tottenham were considering Francesco Farioli as a potential candidate.
The 36-year-old made a tearful exit after Ajax lost the Eredivisie title to PSV Eindhoven at the weekend.
The Dutch side blew a sizeable lead at the top of the table and a win on the final day against FC Twente was not enough to secure first place.
Nonetheless, Farioli is regarded as one of the brightest young coaches in European football so it is not a surprise that Chelsea are keeping close tabs on him.

A Champions League finalist is also under consideration
Italian newspaper the Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Sport Witness) have revealed that Chelsea are monitoring Simone Inzaghi’s situation as well.
The 49-year-old has led Inter to their second Champions League final in three seasons, having also won the Serie A title last campaign.
There have been rumours that Inzaghi could leave the San Siro for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal but Gazzetta claim that Chelsea, Spurs and Manchester United are in the mix too.
Will Chelsea sack Maresca?
There haven’t been any credible reports in the UK that the Blues are likely to change the man in the dugout. Failing to finish in the Champions League places would be deemed a blow but there haven’t been any suggestions that his job depends on qualifying for Europe’s premier competition.
At this stage, the rumours about Farioli and Inzaghi are not concrete and fans should take them with a large pinch of salt. It is believed that Maresca has the full backing of the board but it remains to be seen whether that will change.
