IMG Academy DL Preston Carey praises Georgia's first-round pedigree after official visit

Georgia and Preston Carey's names have been attached to one another since Carey's freshman year of high school.

The IMG Academy (Fla.) defensive lineman took that final step with Georgia last weekend. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman has been in Athens multiple times this year, most recently for his official visit for Scavenger Hunt weekend. Carey's focus for this visit was less so the Scavenger Hunt, and more so, learning as much as possible from Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott about why the Bulldogs make sense for him.

Carey doesn't hide how strongly he feels about Georgia's pedigree.

"I love the culture at Georgia, I love how Georgia wins, and obviously Coach Scott is the best at developing defensive linemen in the past five years. He's had the most first-round defensive lineman draft picks in the past five years, and that's just a fact," Carey told Dawgs247. "Obviously Coach Smart, being a defensive head coach, I love that too."
