He would be a great complement to someone like Cole Palmer. Osimhen paired with Chelsea’s young and talented team would unlock a new dimension in performance.
And of course, the wage bill concern is genuine. €12m a year is a significant expense, especially when Chelsea are looking to dodge any FFP concerns. But this is where ambition and pragmatism converge. For a club that has thrown money at possibility over recent seasons, a tried-and-tested striker is long overdue.
