Chelsea attacking duo Marc Guiu and Christopher Nkunku are “still not 100 percent”, says boss Enzo Maresca ahead of their showdown with Nottingham Forest.
The Reds host Maresca’s Chelsea at the City Ground on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday (4pm).
The stakes are high for both clubs, with qualification for next season’s Champions League on the line.
Chelsea are currently in fourth place in the table on 66 points and Forest are just one point behind the Blues in seventh spot, with a top-five finish guaranteeing a place in the Champions League.
Maresca will already be missing striker Nicolas Jackson, who is suspended, and Guiu and Nkunku are both doubts as Maresca gave an update on the pair on Tuesday.
“At the moment, Marc Guiu and Christopher Nkunku, they start to take part in our sessions but they are both still not 100 percent,” Maresca said.
Chelsea face another big clash after Forest, having reach the final of the Europa Conference League. They will face Real Betis next Wednesday.
But Maresca insists his side, who beat Manchester United 1-0 last time out, will be fully focused on Forest.
"I haven't seen the players since the Man United game," he added.
"I was not here for a personal reason yesterday (Monday) and we had the weekend off. I will see them today.
"I am here to talk about the final with you but not the players. They are going to be focused on Sunday."
