The Tennessee Titans have struggled massively over the last two years despite having different head coaches and roster makeups. One of the common threads was general manager Ran Carthon, who was fired this offseason.
Will Levis is the other, as the 2023 second-round pick has been somewhat of a disaster under center. He has not been the full-time starter at any point, but he has been the starting quarterback for a majority of the team's games in this span.
His inaccuracy and turnover issues have plagued both him and the team. New general manager Mike Borgonzi also selected Cam Ward, his potential replacement, with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Things are far from over for Levis, however, as the Titans' staff has made it clear that he will get a fair shot to compete with Ward for the starting quarterback position. Head coach Brian Callahan spoke to the media on Tuesday and gave Levis a vote of confidence.
"Levis has done a nice job of getting better at things needed to get better at," Callahan said.
While it is still far-fetched that Levis will be the team's primary quarterback, anything can happen in an open competition. The NFL is brutal with injuries as well, and there is no guaranteeing that Levis won't see significant snaps this season.
This could also be a ploy for other teams to remain interested in Levis if he becomes available for trade, but it is more likely that he will remain in Tennessee at this point. Levis may be the backup quarterback for the Titans this year, but his career is far from over.
