Ex-Patriots WR signs with Buffalo Bills

Kristian Wilkerson is returning to the AFC East.

The former [Patriots](https://www.masslive.com/patriots/) wideout signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to the team. The 6-foot-1, 214-pounder spent three years in New England (2020-22) and caught a pair of touchdown passes in a late season win over the Jaguars in 2021.

Wilkerson’s momentum was stunted the following summer, however.

Amidst contentious joint practices with the Carolina Panthers, Wilkerson was blindsided by safety Kenny Robinson in a special teams drill and appeared to be knocked out cold. He wound up on injured reserve with a head injury and missed the entire 2022 season.

The Patriots waived him the following winter, and Wilkerson had a brief stop in Indianapolis before spending the past two seasons with the Raiders. In Las Vegas, he appeared in 5 games, catching 2 passes for 18 yards and a touchdown.

The Raiders released Wilkerson last week, and now the 28-year-old is headed to Buffalo.
