Green Bay Packers Hoping Jordan Love Improves in Critical Area in 2025

The Green Bay Packers sunk significant resources in elevating the offense around Jordan Love this offseason, and now it’s up to the ascending quarterback to do his part to make the leap among the game’s elite at the position.

Love, 26, now has the luxury of potentially elite speedster Matthew Golden to stretch the field in a receiving corps that includes Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and emerging star right end Tucker Kraft.

And, while Love might be on the cusp of cementing his status as one of the premier quarterbacks, the Packers believe there is one key area of his skill-set that if he improves on it could take his game to the next level.

“He’s a great talent, he’s a great person to work with every day, and he has great habits. I think when you combine those three things, really, the sky is the limit,” Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion recently told reporters. “For him, what we’re really trying to focus on is just the fundamentals and the footwork.”

Last season, Love completed 63.5 percent of his passes for 3,389 yards with 25 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in 15 games while seeing his sacks dip from 30 in 2023 to 14 last fall.

Given Love’s arm strength, accuracy, and ability to push the ball vertically–Green Bay led the league with 38 explosive plays last season, combined with Golden’s arrival into a young but inconsistent receiving corps, the stage could be set for the Packers’ quarterback to make major strides and lead the offense to new heights in 2025.
