Enzo Maresca is attracting 'serious interest' from two clubs with enquiry already sent to his representatives -…

Chelsea have not accomplished anything yet this season, but Enzo Maresca still appears to be a man in demand.

The Blues can qualify for the Champions League by beating Nottingham Forest on Sunday, while they will end the campaign with some silverware if they manage to see off Real Betis in the Conference League final next week.

With Forest also competing for a spot in the top five, it will not be an easy game. Nuno Espirito Santo has already warned Chelsea that the City Ground is going to be “bouncing”.

Nevertheless, it looks like Maresca has still done enough this term to convince other clubs of his managerial credentials.

AS Roma and unnamed club both want Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca

Chelsea want Maresca to remain in west London, regardless of how this season ends. That is the noise coming out of Stamford Bridge.

However, despite their stance, a couple of clubs could still try to make a move for Maresca in the summer.

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that AS Roma and an unnamed outfit have “serious interest” in the Italian.

According to Phillips’ sources, clubs have already made enquiries to Maresca’s representatives about his availability, so the 45-year-old could have plenty of options if he does leave Chelsea.

Now is not the time to think about that, though. Again, the Blues have two huge games coming up that will define their season. Lose either, and the campaign is unlikely to go down as a success.

Claudio Ranieri recommends Enzo Maresca to AS Roma

Roma need a new manager with Claudio Ranieri leaving the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the season.

And it has been claimed that Ranieri has recommended Maresca to Roma as they search for his successor.

Ranieri has managed both Roma and Chelsea, and it looks like Maresca could get the chance to do the same. A lot needs to happen, though, before Maresca ends up back in Italy.
