The Seahawks signed receiver Nate McCollum on Tuesday, making the undrafted rookie out of North Carolina the fifth rookie receiver added this offseason along with 2025 draft picks Tory Horton and Ricky White III, as well as undrafted free agents Montorie Foster Jr. and Tyrone Broden.
Guard Sala Aumavae-Laulu, who signed a future contract with the Seahawks in February, was waived to make room on the 90-man roster.
McCollum, who is 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, spent three seasons at Georgia Tech before transferring to North Carolina. In five seasons, McCollum totaled 143 receptions for 1,521 yards and five touchdowns, with his most productive season coming in his final season at Georgia Tech when he had 60 catches for 655 yards and three scores. He also returned kicks for the Tar Heels last season, gaining 448 yards on 17 returns.
McCollum took part in rookie minicamp with the New York Giants earlier this month.
