Arsenal travel to the south coast to face relegated Southampton on the final day of the Premier League season.
The Gunners had briefly looked to be challenging for the title, but a poor run of form earlier this year allowed Liverpool to secure the trophy in April.
Mikel Arteta’s side therefore look set to finish as top flight runners-up for the third consecutive season, and the Spaniard will therefore likely want to bolster his squad during the upcoming summer transfer window.
With that in mind, it has emerged that the Gunners have entered the race to sign an attacking midfielder from the Saudi Pro League.
According to Just Arsenal, the North London club are one of several sides interested in Al-Ahli star Gabri Veiga.
The 22-year-old moved to Saudi in 2023, having been hugely impressive for former club Celta Vigo.
Since moving to the Middle East, the Spaniard has scored 12 goals and provided ten assists in 64 matches across all competitions.

The report claims that Arsenal were rivalling Manchester United for the Spaniard’s signature last summer, but the Gunners’ interest remains.
Veiga is under contract with Al-Ahli until the end of the 2025/26 campaign, but the report claims that Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Newcastle United are also interested in the midfielder.
Italian side Napoli and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are also credited with an interest in the player, who scored 11 times in 56 games for Celta Vigo during his time with the club.
The Magpies are said to have already initiated contact with Veiga’s camp, in an effort to maximise their chances of landing the Spaniard this summer.
