The molecule needs a nucleus, the family needs a home, and Cleveland needs a center. Everything in this world is defined by its center, and Cleveland needs a strong center. Without a strong center, we will languish and not grow. Cleveland is a small city, and having the Flats, the Warehouse District, West 25th Street, Tremont, East 4th, etc. etc. all compete for that small crowd will and does hurt every area and each other.
Moving the Cleveland Browns out of Cleveland is a massive mistake for the city, as well as the team. Jimmy Haslam already made a mistake with Deshaun Watson and he’s about to make another one that is far greater.
There is an opportunity to do his development downtown and it will help the city and the Browns, as well as the people of the city of Cleveland. That area includes the parking lots of the city along the Shoreway and the warehouses from East 40th down to East 18th Streets and Lakeside to St Clair Avenues. Buy them up, do the deal and make Cleveland’s center great.
The Browns are an asset that will have more value downtown. Everybody wins.
