NFL to allow players to participate in flag football at 2028 Summer Olympics

Each player must tryout for their respective team, with Olympic rosters being selected by each countries' National Olympic Committees based on the proposal by the respective National Federations.

"Players have expressed to us a great desire for the honor of competing in the Olympics, and we're excited that our members will be able to represent their country on the highest international stage," said NFLPA Executive Director Lloyd Howell Jr. "We look forward to working with the league, IFAF, and Olympic authorities on the terms of their participation to ensure players who compete will do so with protections to their health, safety, and job."

This won't be the first time Raiders compete for the gold in the Summer Olympics, as Sam Graddy, Ron Brown and James Jett all won gold in track and field events at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles or the 1992 Games in Barcelona, Spain.
