Barcelona defender Hector Fort has reportedly been told he is set to stay at the club and be part of the first-team squad again next season.
Fort’s had a frustrating campaign under Hansi Flick but has featured more in the final weeks of the campaign and has now made 20 appearances in all competitions.
According to Jijantes, Barcelona have now told Fort that they are counting on him for next season and want him to continue in Catalunya.
Manager Flick is said to be happy with Fort and the defender is also eager to stay at Barcelona.
The 18-year-old looks set to be back-up to Jules Kounde once again in 2025-26 but will be hoping for more game time over the campaign.
The update follows on from previous speculation which has claimed Barcelona are no longer interested in signing full-backs this season as they are happy with the options available.
