Fans Demand One Big Change After George Pickens' First Cowboys Appearance

The Dallas Cowboys made a huge trade following the 2025 NFL draft, acquiring wide receiver George Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a move that should help take the team's offense to the next level and relieve a lot of pressure off of CeeDee Lamb.

During the 2024 NFL season with the Steelers, Pickens put together a strong year. He caught 59 passes for 900 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games. If he can bring that same production to the Cowboys, the offense will be much more dangerous.

At just 24 years old, Pickens still has a ton of room to continue growing and developing his game.

Pickens made his first appearance in Dallas gear on Tuesday. He was rocking the No. 14 jersey number.

Fans quickly took to the comments section in hopes that he would change his number.

"Can we get that cursed number off of him and strip Marquese Bell," one fan wrote.

Another fan commented, "Cannot stand the way 13 looks on him someone please give him a different number smh."

"Lost all aura with #13," a third comment read.

A fourth comment said, "GP you need a better number man."

Lamb has spoken out about what he thinks of Pickens and being excited to play alongside the team's new wideout.

“Everything. His demeanor. Everything he brings to the table. Deep threat ability. Able to block. And just the energy he brings to the game," Lamb said. “We complement each other very well. … He hasn’t stopped smiling since he got here.”

Dak Prescott has also revealed his first thoughts on Pickens.

"Very, very talented guy when you can add him alongside of CeeDee and the rest of the weapons that we have … I'm super excited," he said.

With the Cowboys, Pickens is being given a fresh start. It will be interesting to see what he's able to do for his new team in 2025.
