Pittsburgh Steelers legendary quarterback Ben Roethlisberger believes Aaron Rodgers makes a difference for the 2025 team.
In the latest episode of ‘Footbahlin,’ Roethlisberger says the Steelers will go 7-10 without the future Hall of Famer but 11-6 with him, largely because of Rodgers’ reputation and how much he can do for a team.
“It’s called three letters: H-O-F,” Roethlisberger said. “That’s what that’ll get you. It’ll get you, that’ll get you a few more wins. That’ll be the difference between a high draft pick, too.”
Rodgers still has no firm deadline from the Steelers and has not given the team an indication yet of when he will sign, but it seems like the Steelers are fine waiting that out.
Rodgers, who has remained in constant communication with the Steelers, still has not decided as he works through personal issues. However, his biographer, Ian O’Connor, believes that Rodgers will ink a deal sooner rather than later.
O’Connor notes that Rodgers was irked he took heat last year for missing mandatory minicamp with the New York Jets for a pre-planned trip to Egypt. If he has something similar this year, he might not want to ink his deal until after the spring calendar.
If Rodgers is signing with the Steelers, it will likely happen quite soon. Otherwise, the team could wait until just before training camp to see if Rodgers will finally ink a deal and become the team’s starting quarterback this season.
