Former Celtic loanee Alex Valle’s future has been decided, according to a new report.
The 21-year-old Barcelona left-back spent the first half of this season on loan in Glasgow, where he made 19 appearances in all competitions.
At the end of the January transfer window, the Spain U21 international’s loan deal was cancelled, allowing the La Masia graduate to join Italian side Como in Serie A. He has since made 14 appearances for Cesc Fabregas’ side, as the league newcomers currently sit at 10th in the table.
With Barcelona and Como agreeing on an option to buy for the full-back when the player moved on loan four months ago, it would seem as if that clause will be activated by the latter side.

In a recent social media update to X, Romano updated his 24 million followers on Valle’s impending move. Quoting his earlier post from April 23, he said: “Alex Valle will become new Como player for €6m fee, plan confirmed.”
Following Valle’s departure from Celtic shortly before the end of the winter transfer window, the club moved to sign Jeffrey Schlupp on loan from Crystal Palace until the end of the season.
The versatile 32-year-old is out of contract in the summer with his parent club, where he was recently awarded an FA Cup medal for appearing against Stockport County in January, despite only playing for 13 minutes at Selhurst Park.
