Hollywood Icon Cast For Bills Hallmark Movie

On Monday, it was announced that legendary actor Tony Danza will star in a Hallmark Christmas movie this year, based on the Buffalo Bills.

"Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story” will also star Matthew Daddario, Tracy Pollan, Steve Schirripa, Holland Rodeo and Caroline Aaron, according to Today on NBC.

Bills' head coach Sean McDermott and former wideout Andre Reed are confirmed to be making cameos in the film, which will premiere later this year. According to Variety, Ray Davis, Dion Dawkins, Dawson Knox, Reid Ferguson, DeWayne Carter and Joshua Palmer are all on board to make appearances. Damar Hamlin was previously linked to the film as well.

Former Bills Jim Kelly, Steve Tasker, Thurman Thomas and Scott Norwood are all set to make cameos, as is Bills announcer Chris Brown.

The Bills are becoming the second team to have a Hallmark movie made about them, following the Kansas City Chiefs last season. The Bills' film is set in the same series as the Chiefs' movie, which was titled "Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story."

Lifetime also released a movie last year based on Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce and his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift, although that film didn't directly reference either.

It's unclear if Josh Allen will make an appearance in A Bills Love Story, but Allen has drawn a lot of interest from Hollywood executives. Allen is engaged to star actress Hailee Steinfeld.

One studio insider said, "Josh has the total package, from primetime-worthy football highlights to matinee idol good looks." The insider continued, "She (Steinfeld) knows Josh is a catch and she's also been made aware of the heavy Hollywood interest in him. Josh isn't somebody you turn into a cheesy game show host or reality star, he's a guy you can put into the kind of big movies that Hailee has been making since she was a little kid."
