Former Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Marcus Haynes has signed with the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL.
Haynes was on the Steelers’ practice squad this past season before being released in October. He was hopeful to find another roster before OTAs, but he will now go back to the UFL to showcase what he can do in hopes of landing that contract.
An undrafted free agent out of Old Dominion in the 2023 NFL Draft, Haynes spent his one year in the NFL all around then, he has played for the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, and Steelers.
Since then, he has played for the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, and Steelers. Haynes’ initial contract with the Brahmas was terminated in August after he signed with the Steelers, but he is now back where he started.
The Brahmas sit at just 1-7, so while the UFL season is winding down, Haynes has a chance to showcase what he can do in the final few games of their season.
