Report: Packers to have 2 weeks of joint practices this summer

The Green Bay Packers have been aggressive in scheduling joint practices since head coach Matt LaFleur took over back in 2019. For the most part, the team has used joint practices as an opportunity to get controlled reps for starters and has used the team’s preseason games as live reps for backups, who generally see fewer snaps during joint practice weeks.

According to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, the Packers will have two sets of joint practices in 2025, against the Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks. Joint practices against the Colts will be in Indianapolis, leading up to their Week 2 preseason matchup against the Packers. The week of practices against the Seahawks will be held in Green Bay, going into their preseason finale.

So if you want to catch an opportunity to watch quarterback Jordan Love and the rest of the starters play football this summer against an opposing team, you’re likely going to have to catch the team at practice one of these weeks.

For reference, Love threw all of two passes in the preseason last year, both against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. In Week 2 and Week 3, the Packers held joint practices with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens, leading up to their preseason games, both contests where Love, like many other starters, was held out of action entirely.
