Arsenal secured Champions League football and a likely second-place finish with a win over Newcastle United on Sunday, and Declan Rice and Jakub Kiwior were both key to that victory.
Rice played the most obvious role in the win by scoring the only goal of the game, and an impressive one at that. The 26-year-old curled in a powerful effort from outside the area to give the Gunners the lead.
But it was only thanks to Kiwior and his defensive teammates that one goal was enough to earn all three points. So both players earned their spots in the Teams of the Week.

WhoScored selected both players for their side, with writer Sam Hammond praising Kiwior for completing 41 of 44 passes, creating two chances, making four tackles, 11 clearances and winning six of his nine duels.
Hammond highlighted Rice’s goal, of course, but added that the midfielder’s tackle, three clearances, and five ball recoveries were also key to his inclusion this week.
Troy Deeney also selected Rice for the BBC Team of the Week, writing that the 26-year-old is “affecting the game all over” with his “infectious personality”. The former striker suggested Rice is becoming “the leader without the armband” at Arsenal.

The Arsenal squad have one more match to impress before the club season comes to an end, facing Southampton away on Sunday, though many of the players will have a couple of international fixtures to play after that.
