NFL fans had a lot to say after learning that Philadelphia Eagles icon Jason Kelce participated in Wednesday's Spring League Meeting. The retired guard traveled to Minneapolis on behalf of his old team to try to convince owners to keep the Eagles' version of the quarterback sneak baptized as the "tush push."
The owners ultimately voted against banning the play, missing the 24-vote threshold needed to pass the Green Bay Packers' proposal.
Eagles fans were over the moon with the decision and the team's official X account even took a jab at the Packers for trying to push (no pun intended) this decision.

After everything was said and done, not only fans but insiders such as James Palmer and Jori Epstein reacted to Kelce's role in this decision. Social media was flooded with comments about Kelce right after the reports saw the light.
"Whatever [Jason Kelce] did in that room saved the tush push, and that must be added to his hall of fame resume," one fan wrote.
"With only owners translates to 'Jason Kelce convinced people to change their votes and now Goodell is scrambling again,'" another fan said.
"Jason Kelce is 'The Closer,'" a third fan wrote.
Kelce's legacy in Philadelphia is already huge and this only adds to that. After helping the team play in two Super Bowls, he became one of the faces of the organization. Even after his career finished, he stayed close to the team, rooting for them from the sidelines and even helping them on special occasions.
The Eagles just won Super Bowl LIX a couple of months ago and it doesn't seem like they can't stop winning on and off the field.
