“Push On” – Philadelphia Eagles Troll Green Bay Packers After Unsuccessful Tush Push Ban

The proposed ban of the controversial “tush push,” a movement started by the Green Bay Packers, has now officially failed to gain enough votes. NFL teams failed to achieve a supermajority to render the controversial play made popular by the Philadelphia Eagles illegal. In response, the Eagles had some not-so-subtle things to direct towards the Packers.

Philadelphia Eagles Social Media Trolls the Green Bay Packers

While the tush push has been a divisive topic in NFL circles for several years now, and has grown into enough of a phenomenon that some teams, notably the Green Bay Packers, have pursued banning the play. However, the votes are in, and the play remains legal.

The Eagles remained cheeky in their celebration of their victory, making sure to let the Packers know about it.

However, a petty social media announcement wasn’t enough. The Eagles made another hilarious move and posted a 26-minute-long compilation of the play being run to their official YouTube.

It’s safe to say that the Packers organization is going to have to take this one on the chin for now and hope that when the two teams face off in November, with the national spotlight of Monday Night Football shining bright upon them, they can achieve victory on the field.

Eagles Fans Slander Green Bay Packers In Aftermath of Tush Push Talks

While former players have spoken their opposition to the Packers’ attempt, Eagles fans, notorious for being excessively passionate, also had plenty of words for Packers fans on social media after the ban failed.

Several fans have pointed out that the 22-10 vote on the issue, which failed to achieve the supermajority necessary for enactment, was the same score as the Packers-Eagles playoff matchup in January of 2025, where the Eagles advanced and went on to win the Super Bowl. Even NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport posted about it.

The final vote for the #Packers resolution to ban the Tush Push: 22-10. Philly hangs on.

Final score of the #Eagles win over the #Packers in the playoffs: 22-10. Philly hangs on.

NFL media personality Kyle Brandt had some ideas for what the Eagles could do to troll the Packers in their next matchup.

The Tush Push lives. Good.

Now do it Week 10 @ Packers on MNF.

Do it first play of the game.

Do it 10x during the game.

Then do it last play of the game, instead of a kneel down. pic.twitter.com/Mh2BA0XPf0

Packers vs Eagles has already grown into a sort of rivalry in the past few seasons due to several highly competitive matchups. However, the tush push vote will now only deepen the shared hatred of the opponents, particularly amongst the fanbase. Packers fans will need Matt LaFleur, Jordan Love, and company to come through in a big way during their upcoming regular season matchup against Philly.

Mark your calendars now, November 10th. Whatever happens, it will be sure to be dramatic.
