Barca in talks to add Steidten to management team

Barcelona are said to be in talks to add former West Ham director Tim Steidten to the management team at the club.

The update comes from Fabrizio Romano who reports that Barcelona face competition from clubs in the Premier League, Saudi Arabia and Germany.

However, it’s thought he has a great relationship with Deco which may help matters.

Steidten has most recently worked at West Ham but his time at the club was full of difficulties. The German clashed with managers David Moyes and Julen Lopetegui and many of his signings failed to impress.

The Hammers spent big on Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez, Luis Guilherme, Niclas Füllkrug and Konstantinos Mavropanos but haven’t really seen a return on their investment.

Steidten had previously made his name with Werder Bremen and Bayer Leverkusen but his reputation really took a hit at West Ham, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up next.
