Brighton may accept bids of around £60m for Liverpool target Joao Pedro, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Writing in his column for GiveMeSport, Romano said that the Reds are interested in the “highly rated” Brazilian along with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle.
Pedro is not going to force a move away from Brighton but his representatives are said to be sounding out teams to gauge who would be keen on securing his services.

Liverpool have followed the 23-year-old for several years, having tried to sign him before Watford snapped him up from Fluminense in 2020 for £10m. He will cost considerably more than that now.
Why is Pedro in such high demand?
The forward’s scoring record for Brighton is pretty decent, having scored 30 times in 70 appearances, but he has taken plenty of penalties. There are also disciplinary concerns – he missed the 3-2 win over Liverpool on Monday night after a training ground bust up with teammate Jan-Paul van Hecke.
Despite the downsides, Pedro possesses attributes which make him a good fit for Arne Slot. He is equally comfortable playing as a No.9 or No.10, with some likening him to Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool hold an interest in several strikers
Pedro is by no means the only forward that the Reds are targeting. Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko are just a few of the other names under consideration.
Despite being a Brighton player, though, it appears that Pedro could be the cheapest to sign, if Romano’s reporting on the valuation is accurate.
Of course, with at least three other Premier League teams pursuing the Brazilian international, his price could yet increase beyond £60m. It is definitely a transfer to keep an eye on over the coming weeks.
