Leeds United fall behind in multi-club chase for midfield starlet

Leeds United are among the admirers of Motherwell’s Lennon Miller but Chelsea owners BlueCo have stolen a march to take him to Strasbourg.

Leeds United are heading for the Premier League and they will be out to make some eye-catching additions this summer. A big step up awaits LUFC, but they will be eager to strike shrewd deals where possible regardless.

The Whites have been a prolific recruiter of promising young players over the years, often turning a sizeable profit. Crysencio Summerville was developed into a star and sold to West Ham last summer, for example.

More ready-made players may well be on the shopping list this summer, but there are certainly prospects out there who will intrigue the Elland Road recruitment chiefs.

Among them is Motherwell prodigy Lennon Miller, but Leeds United might have their work cut out in a pursuit for the 18-year-old midfielder.

TBR Football reports that Chelsea owners BlueCo look to have emerged as the leaders in the race for his signature, though he would likely head to French sister club RC Strasbourg rather than Stamford Bridge.

LUFC are among those trailing in the race for Miller with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Spurs and more all named as other admirers of the teenage star.
