It promises to be a tense Sunday afternoon across the Premier League, where qualification for next season’s Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League will be decided.

We know what we have to do on the final day of 2024/25. While some are relying on results elsewhere, Newcastle know that a top-five finish will be secured if we beat Everton at St James’ Park.

But how do the pundits see Sunday’s finale panning out as the race for Europe is finally decided?

In the final episode of The Overlap for 2024/25, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Jill Scott have given their predictions.

Liverpool and Arsenal’s places in the top five have already been secured and Man City are almost certainly in after last night’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth, but anything could still happen between Newcastle (4th), Chelsea (5th), Aston Villa (6th) and Nottingham Forest (7th).

While we take on Everton, Aston Villa travel to Man Utd and Nottingham Forest host Chelsea in a potential decider – and this is how the Sky panel see it going…

**Neville and Carragher’s predictions**

* Liverpool 2-1 Crystal Palace

* Nottingham Forest 2-1 Chelsea

* Southampton 0-3 Arsenal

* Newcastle 3-0 Everton

* Man Utd 1-2 Aston Villa

* Fulham 1-1 Man City

**Keane, Wright and Scott’s predictions**

* Liverpool 3-1 Crystal Palace

* Nottingham Forest 1-2 Chelsea

* Southampton 0-2 Arsenal

* Newcastle 2-0 Everton

* Man Utd 1-3 Aston Villa

* Fulham 0-2 Man City

Most importantly, all of them see Newcastle beating Everton to nil to secure our place in the Champions League, but they didn’t agree elsewhere.

Neville’s side back Aston Villa to squeeze into the top five via a win at Old Trafford and Forest beating Chelsea at the City Ground, while the Keane camp think Chelsea will win at Forest; meaning Villa would miss out even with a win in Manchester!

Based on each of their predictions for Sunday, here is how the final Premier League table would pan out.

**Neville and Carragher’s final table**

1. **Liverpool** – 86pts (+47 GD) – 2-1 win

2. **Arsenal** – 74pts (+37 GD) – 3-0 win

3. **Man City** – 69pts (+26 GD) – 1-1 draw

4. **Newcastle** – 69pts (+25 GD) – 3-0 win

5. **Aston Villa** – 69pts (+10 GD) – 2-1 win

6. Nottingham Forest – 68pts (+14 GD) 2-1 win

7. Chelsea – 66pts (+19 GD) – 2-1 loss

**Keane, Wright and Scott’s final table**

1. **Liverpool** – 86pts (+48 GD) – 3-1 win

2. **Arsenal** – 74pts (+36 GD) – 2-0 win

3. **Man City** – 71pts (+28 GD) – 1-1 draw

4. **Newcastle** – 69pts (+24 GD) – 2-0 win

5. **Chelsea** – 69pts (+21 GD) – 2-1 win
