Pat McAfee Trolls Knicks With Powerful Message to Jim Irsay After Colts Owner’s Death

The NFL world is in mourning following the sudden passing of Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay on Wednesday.

Irsay was loved by many people in football, most especially by Indianapolis fans. Among the people whose lives had been touched by Irsay is former Colts punter Pat McAfee, who’s also become a massive media personality.

Following the news of Irsay’s death, McAfee shared a poignant anddeeply emotional messagethat pays tribute to the late Indianapolis franchise owner.

On the same day of Irsay’s death, the Indiana Pacers unforgettably defeated the New York Knicks. That victory is also notable because thelast tweet that Irsay sent was about the Pacers.

After the Pacers pulled off an incredible 138-135 come-from-behind overtime win against New York, McAfee made sure to give Irsay a shoutout.

“FOR @JimIrsay The Pacers do what the Pacers DO in the Garden,” McAfeepostedon X (formerly Twitter).

The Pacers were down by as many as 14 points with just under three minutes left in the fourth quarter, but Indiana still ended up beating New York at Madison Square Garden, where many memorable playoff battles between the two Eastern Conference finals took place, particularly in the 1990s.

McAfee played for eight years in the NFL, spending it all with Indianapolis from 2009 to 2016. He was a two-time Pro Bowler and saw action in a total of 127 games while amassing a total of 42,797 kickoff yards.
