Kelce brothers campaign for UC Bearcat to be inducted into Mascot Hall of Fame

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Bearcat football alumni and NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce are campaigning to get their alma mater’s mascot inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame.

During an episode on the New Heights podcast, the Kelce brothers asked their listeners to vote for the University of Cincinnati’s “iconic” mascot.

“Our mascot, the Bearcat, is up for induction into the Mascot Hall of Fame Class of 2025,” Travis said.

Unlike his younger brother, Jason said he “didn’t know this was a thing.”

“There’s a Mascot Hall of Fame?” Jason asked.

“Yeah there is, and he’s about to get voted in,” Travis responded.

In 2024, Lou Seal from the San Francisco Giants, Monte from the University of Montana, Jaxson de Ville from the Jacksonville Jaguars and Orbit from the Houston Astros were all inducted into the Hall of Fame.

This year, there are 28 mascots to choose from.

“Let’s get a win for the Cats, ladies and gentlemen,” Travis continued. “Go on your phone, go on the computer, click the link, vote.”

“Yeah, just vote for Cincinnati cause who gives a s***,” Jason said.

Voters can choose up to 11 of their favorite mascots and submit one ballot per day until voting ends May 24 at midnight.
