Nuno Tavares left Arsenal to join Lazio on a loan deal in the 2024 summer window.
Barring the full-back’s injury worries in the past few weeks, his stint in Rome has gone very well and he’s emerged as one of the best in his position in Serie A.
Tavares has racked up eight assists in the league and Arsenal will now be able to deposit their money.
Il Messaggero, as relayed by RadioSei, report Lazio have now paid the money and bought the plauyer, with the Gunners earning €5m.
The Biancocelesti have had to bring the move forward because of their belief that Tavares is attracting attention from multiple other European clubs.
Arsenal aren’t just earning a transfer fee from the move but they will also benefit from a further 40% sell-on clause.
Lazio plan to sell Tavares relatively quickly and use the profit to spend elsewhere. They can make a healthy capital gain, and help Arsenal further in the process.
