A regular talkSPORT contributor to discuss his beloved Arsenal, Piers Morgan was nowhere to be seen after Tottenham’s European triumph.
Spurs beat Manchester United in the Europa League final, ending their 17 year trophy drought after a domestic campaign from hell.

It was a glorious end to the season when it looked like the state of play in north London could well end very differently.
Arch rivals Arsenal were on the charge in Europe just a month ago having knocked out holders Real Madrid in the quarter-finals in dominant fashion while Spurs couldn’t stop losing in the Premier League.
However, fast forward to the end of May and the white and blue half of north London is euphoric, and the other red half is in the doldrums, trophyless in five years.
So when talkSPORT got in touch with Morgan to discuss what had happened, he delivered a swift response.

The Unsensored host tweeted: “Just been invited onto talkSPORT to discuss Spurs winning a European trophy.
“I said that on balance, I would rather sever my limbs one by one with a rusty flaming arsenic-drenched machete. And then my head.”
We’ll take that as a no then.
Morgan had already made one Spurs-themed phone call, though, to his father.
He wrote: “My horror at Tottenham winning a European trophy in their otherwise diabolically dreadful season was compounded by having to phone my father - a lifelong Spurs fan - to congratulate him.
“He was as insufferable as I would have been in reverse.”

Despite the pain of an Arsenal fan seeing Spurs succeed, Morgan did at least keep the TV on, as his social media history proves.
“This must be the worst quality game in the history of European football competition finals,” he wrote.
“Absolutely shocking - and yet one of these useless bunch of wastrels will be in next year’s Champions League.
“I mean, I expect Spurs to be this bad, but Manchester United? Just embarrassing.”
Both of the finalists are sat in the two spots above the relegation zone following the worst Premier League seasons in their history.
A trophy and entrance to next season’s Champions League offered salvation, and Spurs took it, with Brennan Johnson’s sole goal the matchwinner.
The question now in north London is who had a better season, with Arsenal second but trophyless, and Spurs just above the relegation zone with a major honour.
One Arsenal fan who did take the time to speak to talkSPORT was Joel Beyer co-host of Rio Ferdinand Presents.
When the question was put to Beyer, he instantly snapped back saying: "We're competing against the big dogs, we were knocked out by PSG - who could go on and win it - in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
"Spurs won a competition where for the first time teams didn't even drop down from the Champions League.

"They had an easy run, they competed against a team one position above them in the Premier League.
"What have you really won, what kind of European trophy is that?"
