“Push Forward”: Lane Johnson Reacts To NFL Rejecting Packers To Ban Eagles’ Tush Push

Lane Johnson, Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle, reacted to the news that the NFL has decided to reject the Green Bay Packers’ proposal to ban the tush-push move. The tush-push move was originally inspired by the game of rugby and has been popularized in the NFL by the Philadelphia Eagles. The unique move is considered to be one of Philadelphia’s secrets of success.

While many other teams have tried their best to replicate the move, none of them have been as successful as the Philadelphia Eagles. The Green Bay Packers, in the NFL annual meetings a few months back, proposed a ban on the move and have been actively pursuing this. Other NFL teams have been pretty lukewarm on this cause. In the ongoing spring league meetings, the NFL officially announced that they were definitely not banning the tush-push move.

“Push forward,” Lane Johnson captioned his Instagram post, while sharing a picture of the Philadelphia Eagles doing the tush-push move in a game.

Lane Johnson and the rest of the Eagles are definitely looking pretty confident of doing well in the upcoming NFL season. Back in February, the Eagles were matched with the Chiefs for Super Bowl LIX and ended up winning stunningly, 40-22.

Johnson is a veteran in the Philadelphia Eagles squad, playing for the team since 2013 after being selected as the fourth pick in the very first round of the NFL draft. Before the league, the 35-year-old offensive tackle played college football for Kilgore College and the Oklahoma Sooners.

Before making it to the Super Bowl matchup, the Eagles finished at the top of the NFC East after winning 14 games and losing three. Philadelphia won their ticket to the Super Bowl after demolishing the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championships, winning with an impressive 55-23.

The Eagles then took on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in February, winning 40-22. After several offseason moves, the Chiefs will be looking forward to a much better year in this upcoming season.
