No one outside of the Philadelphia Eagles seems to know or appreciate what Nick Sirianni is to the organization. His detractors think of him as a useless cheerleader on the sideline while his superior team crushes all in their path.
Even some of his biggest defenders wanted him gone through four weeks in the 2024 season.
Through it all, Sirianni has remained true to who he is as a person. And it has helped the Eagles reach new heights never before seen from the organization before.
Sirianni's 48-20 record is the best active winning percentage currently in the league. He's only been with the team for four seasons, but has reached the playoffs in all four years, led his team to two Super Bowl appearances, and even won a title last year.
Now, with a fresh, long-term contract under his belt, Sirianni is just thankful for all the Eagles that have helped him get to this point.
“You can either go at it and be like, 'Ah, look at me now.' But I don't think that-- I'm grateful for all of that scrutiny,” Sirianni said. “I'm grateful for that for multiple reasons. I'm grateful in the sense that it shapes you to who you are going to be.
"God puts you through things and it shapes you to who he wants you to be.”
Sirianni will continue to try and prove the doubters wrong at this point. So long as the Eagles keep winning, though, there shouldn't by any worry about that moving forward.
